1. Why is the firm making this change?
We changed our name to WestHill Financial AdvisorsSM to better describe our visionary perspective to financial planning and advice and the collaborative team approach we strive to bring to every client relationship.
2. Why now?
Our original name is founder-centric and no longer describes our collaborative team approach in how we advise and serve our clients.
3. Are they selling the company?
No, nothing but the firm name has changed. Kirk, Diane, and Matt still own the firm and they have no plans to retire anytime soon.
4. Did the firm merge with another company?
No, the company is still owned by Kirk, Diane, and Matt with the same 12-person team. Only our name has changed.
5. Is anything else changing?
Yes, the website, logo, and email addresses have changed. Our team and the work we do for clients remain the same.
6. Did any of the owners leave or retire?
No, only the name has changed. The company is still owned by Kirk, Diane, and Matt, and none of them has plans to retire anytime soon.
7. Why WestHill?
Our new name more fully and accurately projects our team approach to providing financial planning and advice to our clients.
The WestHill name symbolizes opportunity, perspective, and vision and is meant to evoke the strategic and caring approach we strive to deliver in all we do.
The WestHill name comes from the Coastal Miwok name for Mt. Tamalpais, in deference to the iconic mountain just west of our current office and firm beginnings in 1989.
8. Is your contact info changing?
Yes, our new website is westhillfa.com and new email addresses end with @westhillfa.com. Example: name@westhillfa.com.
9. How does this impact me?
You will find that our website is easier to navigate and offers more features and resources. Access to your accounts and Financial Plan, for example, can now be found on the Client Access tab at the top of the home page.
Please make note of our new email address and add it to your safelist.
10. What happens if I send an email to your old address?
Your email will automatically be rerouted to our new email address.
11. How does a name change benefit me (the client)?
